Every ETC membership subscription delivers value through three core aspects of our business model: 1) our operations, 2) our Value Multipliers, and 3) our platform. The first two are the nuts and bolts of what we do; lots of technicalities that result in a simple outcome: you get to let us do the hard work for you. The third is the part you experience on a day-to-day basis as a team member: an intuitive, easy-to-use platform designed from top to bottom to ensure you spend your time enjoying the hobby.

We know that earning the trust of the hobby has to come before we ask anyone to spend a single dollar on our platform. As such, building our platform on the world’s best commerce platform was a no-brainer. Given that our Value Multipliers required functionality that doesn’t exist in the hobby (or even in Shopify’s App Store), we developed our own custom Shopify app to power everything. Combine our app with Shopify’s unrivaled security and stability, and there are no limits on our team’s ultimate ceiling.

AI-Powered

Building a company like ETC from the ground up as a husband-and-wife team would not have been possible without the help of modern AI. The best example of which is the standalone desktop app we’ve developed to power our inventory workflows. Whether it’s imaging, cataloging, or coordinating, the app plays a key role in every step along the life of a card, from pull to ship.

No amount of AI will ever replace the value of a human dedicated to their craft. At ETC, we’re dedicated to the optimization of our processes so that we can continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Our systems are already capable of processing a Drop of 2,000+ cards in 24 hours; imagine what’s possible when we start to scale beyond a workforce of two.

Our Value Multipliers

Seven in total, our Value Multipliers combine to create value for each of our team members from the moment their membership becomes active. From that point on, as long as the membership doesn’t lapse, they also combine to make the membership more valuable than it was the day before. Name Your Value

Our Name Your Value offer system is a true 1 of 1 in the hobby. Created as part of our custom Shopify app, this system allows every member to place a blind offer on any card. When the exclusivity period ends for the card, the team member with the highest offer wins the card, but only pays the price of the second-highest offer.

Determining the value of a card can be challenging; really challenging. That’s where our Complimentary Comp comes in — a price quote direct from one of the most trusted pricing services in the hobby. Just another way ETC does the hard work for you.

Team Bank

A majority of every member's dues — and 90% of all card sales revenue — pools in the Team Bank to fund the team's Drops. Even 50% of net profits from post-exclusivity eBay card sales will be deposited into the Team Bank. We like to think of it as “More members → better Drops → more members.”

ETC's Seniority Tiers reward the earliest members with the lowest dues. The Visionary tier is members 1 through 40 — after member #41 joins, it closes, and the only way in is Level Up.
