Name Your Value
Name Your Value is how every ETC card is sold: tell us what a card is worth to you, and if your offer is the highest, the card is yours — at the price of the second-highest offer. Mechanically, it's a blind, second-price auction (a Vickrey auction) — but you never bid. You make one private offer, and the system does the rest.
Example
Offer with your heart. Pay with your head.
How an offer window runs
-
A Drop's cards open together — every card runs the same fixed, published members-only window (dates on the Drop Schedule).
-
Make a private offer for what the card is worth to you — every offer is backed by real funds in your Wallet.
-
Offers stay private — no one sees anyone's offer but their own, and you can join the team and make offers at any point in the window.
-
The window closes — the highest offer takes the card at the second-highest price, paid from the Wallet, and the card auto-stores in that member's Vault.
If no offer lands inside the window, the card leaves the inventory unsold.
Where the money goes
When a card sells, 90% of that revenue goes straight back into the Team Bank — the shared fund that buys the team's next Drops. Your offers don't just win cards; they grow the team's buying power.
